Undercover video footage has exposed the driftnet fishing industry.

These mile-long nets are extremely harmful, as notoriously high numbers of animals, including protected species, such as dolphins, sea lions, and seabirds, are caught, killed, and thrown away by the driftnet fishing industry. Large-scale driftnet fishing has already been banned in countries around the world, and driftnet fishing has been phased out off the U.S. East Coast, and restricted in Oregon and Washington states. It’s time for us to protect all U.S. waters from the destructive driftnet fishing industry.

We’re calling on US Senators Dianne Feinstein and Kamala Harris to take a leadership role in phasing out the use of driftnets used to catch swordfish to protect our oceans and greatly reduce needless suffering of animals every year.

Please contact Senators Feinstein and Harris today and urge them to take action to provide basic protections for our oceans and marine wildlife. Thank you for taking action!

When you take part in this action, we will update you on this campaign and our other work. You can unsubscribe at any point.
